BLOG -- Recap of December

I was hoping to finish up as many of my remaining New Year's Resolutions as possible, but... a lot of my time went to working. One week was pretty crazy where I'd get home everyday and the only thing I could do was light gaming and eating at the same time for a couple of hours, and then it's sleeping. And with me being a slow eater, it's not good, lol. One time I got home around 11:30 PM and I was eating until 2 AM. Then I woke up at 6:45 AM to get ready for work.

Here's hoping that things will get better in the new year (i.e. that more help is hired and nobody in the team is reduced)... >_>

Outings/Events in December:
- Hung out with friends overall x4

- Attended the Holiday Party for my work place.

- Had a games day with my sister, her hubby, and our friend.

- Stayed over at my sister's place x1.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn achievements / news:
-I popped in briefly to do the Starlight Celebration Event. I had planned to re-sub mid December but felt I shouldn't yet after my crazy work week. =___=

Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius achievements / news:
-My rank is currently 137 (yay I can leave the game alone for 13 hours 10 mins)
-I got Santa Roselia and Christine from the holiday banners. I tried for Cloud when his banner was up, but no dice. No dice on White Knight Noel either *sniffle* ._.

Exposures:
- (Video Game -- PS4): Monster Hunter World: Beta -- It looks like it could be fun. I'm not a fan of voice chat being the only form of communication for online play. I prefer keyboard and typing, lol.

- (Video Game -- PS4): Nine Parchments -- This is a ridiculous game, especially if doing co-op. Friendly fire and foe healing with no way to turn them off? You'll have to decide if that's your cup of tea or not. There are some gaming bugs, though, so hopefully those get fixed.

Finished...
Watching:
(Movie): The Neon Demon -- Wow. This was quite the experience. Definitely worth checking out, but... be mentally prepared, lol. Chris Stuckmann's review pretty much sums up my impressions of the movie.

- (Movie): The Lobster -- It was interesting, but not really my brand of humour. That world would be scary to live in.

- (Movie): Genius (2016) -- Despite the hamminess of Thomas Wolfe's character, I enjoyed this movie. Colin Firth is great as usual, and I hope somebody as awesome as Maxwell Perkins still exists today.

- (TV Series): X-Files -- I am noting this because I am all caught up, yayyy! Just in time for the next season.

Playing:
- (PS4): Final Fantasy XV -- This was a love/hate game for me. I found so many things tedious about this game (sidequests, fishing, walking around, car-riding, driving, dungeoning in dark, dark caves). The few saving graces were listening to FFVI's Dancing Mad track during the car rides (once I found and bought the soundtrack), the characters, and the overall story. The 2nd-last chapter was boring as heck, though, lol. I might blog about this in the future.

- (PS4): Hatsune Miku - Future Tone -- I played all 200+ songs so I'm counting it! I'll still be playing it from time to time though. It's a pretty good compilation of songs.

- (PS4): Final Fantasy Type-0 HD -- It's not perfect, but I love this game to bits. The music's great, and I enjoyed the characters. Rem was my favourite to use, followed by Ace, and Queen. Now I just need to understand the story, lol. Once I do, I'll likely blog about this.

Reading:
- (Comic): The Unbeatable Squirrel Beats Up the Marvel Universe by Ryan North & Erika Henderson -- This was okay. I'd probably appreciate it more if I knew more about the Marvel Universe.

Currently...
Playing (not all at once):
- (PS4): J-Stars Victory Vs+

- (Manga): Ouran High School Host Club by Bisco Hatori (Volume 14)

That's it for December. Here are some pics I took this month plus a YouTube video.

Tiramisu cake at the Cheesecake Factory.
This was really good. My sister and I have concluded that the only way for us to
enjoy eating at the Cheesecake Factory (without overeating) is to share everything,
including the cheesecake.

Santa Roselia from FFBE. I ended up getting about nine of her
while trying to get White Knight Noel.

 Christine from FFBE.
I think her design is really cute. I want that Snowbear, lol x3

"Zero" Male version by Bump of Chicken.
This is the general opening theme to Final Fantasy Type-0 HD.
I really enjoy this.

Thanks for reading!

Happy New Year's Eve! As usual, if you have any questions / comments about anything, feel free. :)
