BLOG -- Recap of December

December was probably the worst month of the year since I spent about half of it recovering from COVID. I don't have COVID anymore, but I'm still coughing, which makes me a bit depressed. I wanna stop coughing. I want to go karaoking. >-<''

"Outings" / Events in December:
- I went out to have a work dinner with my team. It was really nice seeing everybody again :) <3

- I hung out with a new friend a couple times. I had a ton of fun and felt inspired and energized each time. It was definitely some of my happier days in December. ^_^

- Had a voice chat with my LINE friends. It was split into 3 sessions 'cuz everybody was busy for part of the day. It was a fun time!

- I was off work during the last week of December. I spent much of it cleaning my room since it got really messy last month.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn achievements / news:
-I didn't do anything this month, but I might log on for a bit before the day is over.

Exposures:
- (YouTuber): Canadian in a T-Shirt -- This is a channel that talks about various financial things, with a focus in Canada. It's pretty relevant for me.

Finished...
Watching:
- (Movie): Kung Fu Panda 2 -- I enjoyed this.

- (Movie): Kung Fu Panda 3 -- This one felt a bit dragging but overall not bad.

- (Movie): Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild -- Every time the main character spoke, I heard Zuko from Avatar: The Last Airbender. The Monster Hunter world was captured okay, but the story and execution was kinda meh.

- (Movie): Sleepless in Seattle -- It was okay.

- (Movie): House of 1000 Corpses -- Not my kind of movie.

- (Movie): Fair Game -- It was intriguing.

- (Movie): The Fifth Element -- For a fairly old movie, this was kinda nutty. I enjoyed it, in a campy way.

- (Movie): All the Money in the World -- Well-acted.

- (Movie): Bad Boys -- I tuned out after the first 30 minutes. I tuned back maybe 5 minutes before the end.

- (Movie): Godzilla (2014 version) -- I'm curious how this compares to the original 1954 version. The kaijus were the only interesting things for me.

- (Movie): Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows -- It was okay.

- (Movie): Pacific Rim -- This was like watching a live-action anime. This is mecha / kaiju done right.

- (Movie): Johnny Mnemonic -- I've never watched this before. Campy and interesting. It was neat seeing Beat Takeshi so young.

- (Movie): Malcolm & Marie -- This could have been turned into a stage play and almost nothing would be lost. Some of the conversations were too exhaustive for me.

- (Movie): Mortal Kombat (2021 version) -- When this appeared on Netflix, I actually thought it was the 1995 version. I completely forgot there was a reboot. Some of the lines and fatalities were amusing.

- (Movie): Baahubali: The Beginning (Hindi version) -- This is my first time watching an Indian movie. I was entertained, despite its length and the random moments of dancing and singing. The music was pretty nice.

- (Movie): Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Hindi version) -- I just had to see how it ended.

- (Movie): Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery -- I would have liked a direct continuation of the first movie, but this was also okay.

- (Movie): Honey Boy -- Well-acted but this was hard to watch.

- (Movie): Monty Python's Life of Brian -- I enjoyed Monty Python and the Holy Grail more, but this movie had some good moments.

- (Anime): High-Rise Invasion -- This would have been much better without all the random panty shots.

- (TV Show): Lego Masters -- This is probably one of my favourite competition shows. I love the creativity.

- (TV Show): Kakegurui Live-action -- This was amusing to watch as some kind of comedic horror.

Playing:
- (PS4): Idol Manager -- I reached a couple endings so I'm counting it. Overall, it was addictive to play but also lacking a bit of polish. I'll still play it every now and then 'cuz I want to see more endings.

That's it for December. Here are a few pics / screenshots I took this month plus a YouTube video.

What I had at the Team dinner. We went to a place specializing in steak, haha.

Poutine! <3

My hair as it is currently. I didn't get it cut at all during the lockdown.
I will likely get it cut in the new year 'cuz it's way tooo long. It's hard to determine 'cuz I'm wearing baggy clothes but my hair is just reaching my butt. ^^;

A collab banner came to Hatsune Miku: Colourful Stage. I had over 100000 crystals saved up by doing events and skipping other banners, so I went to town on this one. I got them all! :)

I don't know anything about the Aku no Taizai series, but the limited nature kinda drew me in (gotta be careful of this when money is on the line!).

I also liked their costumes and hairstyles. It's too bad no other characters can wear the costumes.

I ended up doing 230 rolls (69000 crystals) to get all the characters.

Kaito never came so I pitied him. This happened the last time, too. Does the game know??! D:

"Important Tax Changes in Canada for 2023" by Canadian in a T-Shirt.
Some informative things for those in Canada.

Here's an extra -- I tuned into part of Josh Strife Hayes' Twitch stream yesterday and this morning I watched it from the beginning. I was so amused by something he said and his reaction to it that I created my first Twitch clip ever. The clip is a bit... not family friendly XD Check it out below if you like.

Thanks for reading!

Next week will be my long, long year-end blog. I can't believe in a couple hours 2022 will be over (in Toronto, at least)...

As usual, if you have any questions / comments about anything, feel free.

May 2023 be kind, fun, full of wealth, and full of happiness, love, and good health *hug* (>'w')>
