BLOG -- Recap of March

Well... aside from all my late nights in the office, March was mainly a movie-watching month for me, which was really nice. I surprised myself -- I didn't realize how many movies I watched until I did this blog. All the late nights, though... well -- I've been barely awake, hahaha... @_____@

Outings/Events in March:
- Hung out with friends overall x4.

- Attended Marianas Trench concert in Toronto

- Visited a friend's new place

- Had a gaming session with a friend, where he was going through a couple of my text-based games and I was observing his choices. I really appreciated it! xDDD

- I watched a movie in theatres after work for three days' straight. Then I proceeded to work 12-13 hours the next two days to "make up for leaving at 5 PM" (*sigh*). The former was really awesome and fun, though!

- Met a stranger through random circumstances (no subway service between our stops and three shuttle buses passed us straight by). We ended up eating out while waiting for the service to come back on. It was quite pleasant, yet very random, and very unlikely to happen again, hahaha.

- Joined the "cooking club" at work. I am such a noob at cooking.

- I tried doing a "no potato chip" challenge at the start of this month. I failed within two weeks 'cuz I ordered guacamole, forgetting that it would come with tortilla chips. I'm gonna try again in April.

I subscribed to Crave to get myself ready for the upcoming Game of Thrones season. Since then, I've made a point to watch something from Crave at least once a week. Once Game of Thrones is done, I intend to unsubscribe and go through the rest of my media backlog. Let's hope I actually stick to it!

- Stayed over at my sister's place x0.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn achievements / news:
-I haven't really done much.

Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius achievements / news:
-My rank is currently 179 (yay I can leave the game alone for 14 hours 55 mins)
-I did a mass 7-star awakening on multiple units one weekend 'cuz I reached max gil
-I haven't been doing much summonings -- I'm saving my lapis for a banner I really want (which is not Xenogears... 'cuz I never played Xenogears back in the day)

Exposures:
- (Website): 10 Kernels -- This is a film review site, managed by one of my friends. The reviews are fairly short and sweet, but written quite expressively -- and they don't go into spoiler territory, which I appreciate very much! The reviews cover a mix of known and lesser known titles, so totally worth checking out, especially for movie lovers (like me, hahaha)! :3

- (Video Game): Frost -- This is a card-based survival strategy game. I tried it a few times but kept dying on "Easy" difficulty. Sadly -- not worth my time.

- (Food place): Chris Jerk -- This is a jerk chicken place. The food is really yummy.

Finished...
Watching:
- (Movie): Alita: Battle Angel -- It felt like a very long movie, but for the most part I enjoyed it. I really liked the tunnel scene close to the end, but I didn't care at all for the motor ball sport (was that in the manga?).

- (Movie): How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World -- I thought this was better than the second movie.

- (Movie): The Favourite -- This was really good. Emma Stone was really, really great!

- (Movie): Captain Marvel -- I had no idea there was a bunch of controversy with Captain MarvelIt had some good moments. Otherwise, a pretty generic Marvel movie.

- (Movie): Cruel Intentions -- Just mentioning this old movie that I've seen many, many times in the past because I saw it for the first time in theatres this month. It was a showing to celebrate its 20th anniversary. It is still one of my personal favourites! <3

- (Movie): Train to Busan -- This was good. Not scary as I was originally thinking, but clever with nice emotional moments. Highly recommended for at least one watching!

- (Movie): Pitch Perfect 3 -- The only good thing was the music. Everything else was pretty much meh, which is really unfortunate.

- (Movie): Fifty Shades Freed -- Finally I finish this movie series. Not as cringy as Fifty Shades Darker, but soooo much drama (bleh). I'm so glad I don't have to think about this series anymore.

- (Movie): Patient Zero -- It was an interesting premise, but bad execution. I had no care for any of the characters.

- (Movie): Talladega Nights -- It had some moments, but pretty meh.

- (Movie): You Don't Mess With The Zohan -- Very meh. It was just okay.

- (Movie): Ruby Sparks -- This is a unique premise, but was handled in a realistic and relatable way. Some moments were hard to watch.

- (Movie): Red Sparrow -- It was pretty easy to follow, up until the second half. Then it got confusing. I liked the climax.

- (Movie): Hesher -- ... This did not click with me at all. I get the feeling that Joseph Gordon-Levitt enjoyed playing his character, though. Also, I only saw Dwight in Rainn Wilson's character...

- (Movie): American Animals -- This was really interesting. Parts of the storytelling were pretty unique, in my opinion.

- (Movie): Love & Mercy -- This was really good. The acting was amazing and the music was great. What a story.

- (Movie): A Ghost Story -- This dragged in some parts, and was confusing partway through... but there are some interesting ideas / perspectives in it.

Playing:
- (PS4): Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below -- I could have beaten this game last year or the year before, but I really wanted the "Puff-Puff" trophy before doing so. This is a pretty fun game!

That's it for March. Here are a few pics I took this month plus a YouTube video.

The first recipe we did for the "cooking club".
It was originally sweet potato curry (Indian curry I think),
but I opted to do Japanese curry instead.

The second recipe we did for the "cooking club".
The recipe was baked chicken parmesan.
It was my first time handling raw chicken (or meat for that matter).

My movie ticket for Cruel Intentions.
Finally, I have a ticket to put in my Cruel Intentions DVD! :)

Screenshot of Dx2 with the Devil May Cry 5 collaboration.
Even though the art styles are so different, I think it works pretty well together.

I have a Black Frost, whee! xD

My first Super Trust Master Reward (STMR) in FFBE!
Mobs will have to watch out for my dangerous Beach Umbrella!
Mwa ha ha ha!

Thanks for reading!

As usual, if you have any questions / comments about anything, feel free. :)

I implied this very briefly in my last blog, but my computer is dying (it takes me multiple presses on the power button to turn the computer on). So if my computer conks out completely before I get a new one, next week's blog (and maybe the week after) could get delayed.

Take care (to not get pranked tomorrow!) and until next time!

BLOG -- Ideas/Theories on How Game of Thrones Season 8 Will End **MAYBE SPOILERS**

This blog will be different from my other Game of Thrones blogs. I am sharing my ideas / theories on how Game of Thrones Season 8 will end. This is NOT an overall thoughts / overview on Season 8 -- 'cuz Season 8 hasn't aired yet!

I might -- I'm still thinking about it -- blog about Season 8 once it's done. I think it'd be interesting to compare it against this blog where I'm just guessing things.

BUT -- even though these are only my thoughts / theories on how Game of Thrones Season 8 will end, I'd recommend NOT reading this unless you are all caught up to Season 7! There could be SPOILERS for the whole series so far (like whichever characters I mention would just spoil that they've survived to Season 7). So... please don't read unless you have watched Season 7!

For my thoughts on Seasons 1-7:
Season 7
Season 6
Season 5
Season 4
Season 3
Season 2
Season 1

IDEAS / THEORIES ON SEASON 8
First -- I have to mention that whatever thoughts / theories I have, it would be based off what was actually shown in the TV series (that I could remember). One of my friends mentioned a couple theories that Brandon is actually the Night King and that Brandon assumed The Mad King's spirit to make him say "Burn them all", actually meaning to burn all the White Walkers. While I guess those theories could be possible... the TV series didn't show any indication of Brandon doing either of those things so I won't be considering them when thinking of how the series will end.

I'm very aware that Game of Thrones is unpredictable -- especially with Season 8 being the last season -- so I'm going to share a few different ending ideas: my ideal ending, a more likely ending, an alternate, very unlikely ending, and the "screw you" ending.

My Ideal Ending
My ideal ending is, of course, one where all that characters I like are still alive. So... Jon, Tyrion, Daenerys, Arya, Sansa, Brandon, Jaime, Brienne, Podrick, Jorah, Grey Worm, Missandei, Tormund, Davos, Samwell, Gilly, Sam, Yara, Varys (I think that's everyone). I would love for them all to be alive. It would be extra awesome if Syrio Forel came back (he "died" off-screen so the possibility of him being alive exists!).

The White Walkers would be destroyed.

Cersei would step down from the Iron throne, wanting to focus on having her child, and Jaime would join her.

The one who sits on the Iron Throne would be either Jon or Daenerys. Either one is fine, and the other would just stand by their side. This means I hope Jon and Daenerys will marry and carry on with the Targaryen line.

Euron would be overthrown so that Yara can be the ruler of the Iron Islands. I guess Theon could be by Yara's side, but it doesn't really matter to me if he's alive or not.

Melisandre and Bron can live or die -- I don't particularly care. I used to like Bron, when he was chummy with Tyrion, but not anymore.

A More Likely Ending
There would be way more character deaths, hahaha...

I still think the one to win the Iron Throne would be either Jon, Daenerys, or... maybe even nobody (there would be one person standing, but he or she would be so mortally wounded that they only make it to sitting on the Iron Throne and then die soon afterwards). Between Jon or Daenerys, one would get the Iron Throne; the other would die -- either in battle or sacrificing themselves to save the other ('cuz I believe they love each other). As much as I would like them to have a happy future together, I don't see it happening... unless Melisandre shows up to revive the person.

I don't really see Cersei and Jaime surviving to the end. Jaime could fall in battle... or maybe even Cersei kills him if she thinks he will leave and betray her. Whatever happens, I think there will be a brief moment where Cersei will feel very alone -- and that loneliness could overtake her -- or Arya will swoop in and kill her. Actually, as long as Arya is alive, Cersei and Jaime's fates will be sealed.

The White Walkers will be destroyed, but they will probably take down many characters with them.

If Melisandre's prophecy is correct, both Melisandre and Varys will die after playing whatever parts they have to play.

Tyrion... I would love for him to live. He is my favourite, after all. I think if he dies, he will go out in a very sad and brutal fashion. And if he lives, it will be within an inch of death.

I think Arya has a good chance of getting killed off -- just because she is an awesome character, hahaha. Maybe she will end up dueling against Brienne while try to kill Jaime and lose. Maybe she will don the face of somebody and infiltrate her way into enemy territory but then gets caught / found out.

Sansa might have a very, very slim chance of getting the Iron Throne if Cersei, Jon, and Daenerys all fall. I imagine Sansa will stay in Winterfell, defending against the White Walkers, so she might be in the safest position.

Anybody I didn't mention -- well, I think half of them will die, in one way or another. Except for maybe Brandon, Gilly, and Sam (not Samwell) -- I think they might still live.

An Alternate, Very Unlikely Ending
This isn't exactly an ending, but an idea that maybe Melisandre will play a huge part in Season 8. Maybe she mass revives a bunch of fallen characters or unleashes a lot of dark magic that could turn the tide in the battle against the White Walkers.

I just think... that it'd be hilarious / outrageous to have many viewers begrudgingly shift their opinion of Melisandre from most hated character (she endorsed having a child burned alive!) to somebody worthy of respect.

And then Samwell Tarly gets the Iron Throne. Or somebody who's equally unlikely.

The "Screw You" Ending
Everybody dies. The White Walkers win. I don't think this ending would EVER happen... because I think too many viewers would get pissed off!

And that's it! Thanks for reading :) To anybody who read through all my Game of Thrones entries and are still here, thank you sooooooo much!!

What are your ideas / theories on how Season 8 will go down? :) If you have anything to say, feel free to comment!

Take care and until tomorrow for my monthly recap blog (if my computer is still alive)! :)

THOUGHTS [TV SHOW] -- Game of Thrones Season 7 **SPOILERS**

Just like in my previous Game of Throne entries, this entry will contain SPOILERS!! So please don't read unless you have watched Season 7!

For my thoughts on the previous seasons:
Season 6
Season 5
Season 4
Season 3
Season 2
Season 1

OVERALL THOUGHTS ON SEASON 7
Finally -- all the character storylines converge! And the reunions I had been wanting since Season 2 finally happen (the Stark siblings)! There were fewer episodes in Season 7, but so much information got revealed, and so many things just happened

Before starting Season 7, I told myself to watch with the mindset that "all bets are off" -- that anything could happen to anybody. I mean, it's getting towards the end -- the competition has to get thinner. So I watched and worried over my favourite characters whenever they found themselves in a dangerous situation (ahh, Jon... darn your reckless, selfless righteousness! You're still so hot, though! Hahaha <3).

As mentioned earlier, I was so happy to see the Stark siblings re-united. I was a little worried for Arya's reunion since the guard didn't believe her identity, and because she had been so close two times before and missed re-uniting with them (first time was with Robb, and second time with Sansa).

Littlefinger's meddling in trying to make Arya and Sansa turn against each other was so annoying... which made his comeuppance soooooooooooooooo goooooooooooooood. I say a little more on this in my "Favourite Scenes / Moments" section.

I was very sad when one of Daenerys' dragons died to the White Walkers. Daenerys really loved them as her children. I wonder how she will react when she sees it as a White Walker in Season 8... I'm almost certain that is going to happen!

I found Tormund's attraction to Brienne pretty amusing. I just liked how openly honest and blunt he was. So this is how he's like when he's smitten, hahaha. :3

About Cersei -- I knew she was going to get pregnant this season! I mean, she and Jaime had been getting it on in past seasons after Robert Baratheon died, and even in this season. She may be cold and calculating... but I don't think she thinks too far enough ahead to consider the consequences of her actions sometimes. Now she is pregnant, but with no husband to hide the identity of the true father, as she was able to do with her previous children. It seemed like she didn't care if others saw her and Jaime's intimate relationship during one episode, but does she really feel that?

My thoughts about Jon being revealed as a Targaryen, ultimately making his and Daenerys' relationship as... nephew and aunt: Well -- I personally think that was a cop-out. That the reveal was made just so Jon had a justifiable, legitimate right to the Iron throne -- and it didn't consider the consequences of his relationship with Daenerys. I mean -- what if their familial ties became the reason for not pursuing each other romantically? That would suck, in my opinion.

FAVOURITE SCENES / MOMENTS
-When Varys says his loyalties lie with the people. I love his words. I love Daenerys' response to him as well.

-Every interaction between Jon and Daenerys. I think they're really cute together. When Daenerys is at Jon's bedside after the fight with the White Walkers and Jon calls Daenerys his Queen, I was so touched.

-Arya getting her revenge on House Frey. She is so awesome and deadly.

-Littlefinger's trial. I've re-watched that scene many times now. Arya's "I'm-not-gonna-listen-to-your-B.S." deathblow was just THE best.

CHARACTERS - EXTRA THOUGHTS / IMPRESSIONS
Tyrion -- He is still my favourite. I sure hope he survives Season 8!

Euron -- What a jerk. He thinks he's all that? No -- just no *shudder*

Jaime -- I like that he's trying to veer more towards the side of... being an honourable knight. Props to Brienne for showing him how it's done!

And that's it for this blog! Thanks for reading :)

One more blog and then I'll be done my Game of Thrones-related blogs -- at least until Season 8 starts... maybe.

If you have any thoughts about Season 1-7, even disagreements, feel free to comment. But PLEASE keep any comments within Season 1-7! If you really need to speak about something from the later season (.i.e. you are reading this from the future and have already watched Season 8!), please mark it somehow. There's also a comment/message box to the right and those messages should be sent to me directly.

Take care and until the next entry! :)

BLOG -- Marianas Trench and The Suspending Gravity Tour @ Sony Centre (March 13, 2019)

This time I didn't have to travel to Ottawa to see Marianas Trench. I made sure to buy tickets for their Toronto concert as soon as they were released (way back in November). I was NOT going to miss seeing them again!

Omg, I can't wait!!!! xDDDD

Me and Marianas Trench (Current Status)
For those who are curious, you can read about how I first got into Marianas Trench in my last concert blog about them (here). Just warning you that the story is kinda long! And probably not that interesting!

Since the last Marianas Trench concert I attended (back in 2016), I've listened to the rest of their discography, and have enjoyed almost all of their tracks. Out of their albums, I personally enjoy Ever After the most, followed closely by Masterpiece Theatre, Astoria, and Fix Me (please don't hate me if you disagree!). I do have to say, though: each album has tracks that I really, really love!

These days, I can't say that I listen to Marianas Trench everyday, but I do listen to them a lot! Whenever I feel the itch to sing, Marianas Trench comes to mind almost instantly. When I'm feeling sad or stressed, I think "Let's listen to some Marianas Trench..." They are still my "healing darkness"... and I'm always glad for delving more into their music way back then.

Some tracks I especially love singing are (but NOT limited to!):
Porcelain <-- I love the lyrics. I'd like to sing this to the guy of my dreams one day (whoever he'd be, lol)
Alibis <-- I think this song is so deep. My heart goes out to anybody who's going through this
Desperate Measures <-- I don't know why... but this is my go-to for blowing off steam
B Team <-- Story of my life, hahaha. I'm just kidding -- but this song does strike a chord
So Soon <-- To me, the lyrics feel so honest, raw, and selfish. I've actually never listened to a song this selfish before.
Sing Sing <-- I just love this song. It's playful, simple, and makes me want to dance.
Masterpiece Theatre II <-- I know a lot of the lyrics repeat for this track, but it works so well with the music. I love the way it builds

When their new album PHANTOMS was released, I didn't get a chance to buy it off iTunes and listen to it (I did not realize that the full album was actually uploaded to YouTube -- legitimately, too!). As the days went on and with the Toronto concert just a day away, I decided to get the album later and just enjoy whatever new tracks they played at the concert.

The Little Details
Date of Concert: March 13, 2019
Venue: Sony Centre (Toronto, Ontario)
Time: 8:00 PM (Doors open 7:05 PM)
Ticket Price Total: $118.74
Seating: Section Orch22 (ground floor), Row U, Seat 56

Before 7:00 PM -- Concert "Jitters"
Even though the concert was in Toronto and I've been to the Sony Centre many, many times before... I still got "jitters". I guess the biggest thing for me was timing when to have dinner. I wanted to have enough time to eat but not rush myself (I'm a very slow eater) -- and at the same time, have enough time to get to the Sony Centre before doors opened (I gotta get to that merch. shop before everybody crowds it!) -- and at the same time, don't eat so early that I start getting hungry during the concert.

I ended up heading to a restaurant around 4:15 PM, and finished eating around 5:45 PM. I got to the Sony Centre at 6:42 PM. There was a fair crowd, but I was able to wait inside in the ticket booth area.

7:05-ish PM -- @ Sony Centre
Just like with other concerts I've attended, I headed straight to the merchandise shop after the doors opened. I really didn't want to deal with trying to buy merch. after the concert. I didn't even know what was being sold -- I just lined up, and peered at the stuff whenever I got the chance. The shop was mainly selling T-shirts and shirts, signed and unsigned CDs of their new album, a signed photo, signed drumsticks (the item I missed getting at the last concert), and some other things. I really wanted the signed photo, but my purse couldn't fit it and I wouldn't want to bend it.

After buying a few items, I went to my seat and waited for the pre-show. The two girls sitting next to me asked if I was at the concert by myself. When I said yes, they offered that we could talk about things if I wanted.

"You're not alone," one of them said, and they both smiled in a supportive way.

I smiled back and said, "Thanks!"

We did end up sharing a few words during the concert, and I appreciated the gesture.

The merchandise shop! It was quite crowded.

View of the stage from my seat.
At the Ottawa concert two years ago, there was a DJ on stage playing
a bunch of 80s tunes before the pre-show. It was the same thing this time as well!

8:00-ish PM -- Pre-show (Elijah Woods & Jamie Fine)
Elijah Woods & Jamie Fine

Elijah Woods & Jamie Fine were fine. I've never heard of them, so everything was new. Some of their tracks clicked with me (especially "You") while others didn't. Elijah Woods was great through everything.

8:30-ish PM -- Intermission
Nothing happened here, aside from me going to the washroom, and then going back to my seat and playing apps on my phone.

Once the 80s music stopped playing and the lights started to dim, the audience cheered and got off their seats. I stood as well, determined to stay standing (and dancing!) throughout the whole show, despite the slightly angled floor (psst -- I think the Sony Centre is a terrible venue for concerts that get you off your feet to dance!).

9:00-ish PM -- Marianas Trench
Marianas Trench! <3 <3 <3

A short black and white video clip played on the screen above the stage. Josh's voice (main vocalist) read the poetic lines that appeared on the screen. The clip was haunting, ominous, and grim -- Edgar Allan Poe-ish.

The video ended and everything was dark for a few moments. Then I was blasted away by the opening number -- strong a cappella harmonies of a track I never heard before. My hairs stood on end. I liked what I heard. I was getting excited. It was great!

After the opening number, they went straight to the next track -- another new song, but this time I recognized it: "Only the Lonely Survive". It was a bright and poppy contrast to the opening number, despite the lyrics being so -- bittersweet. Almost immediately I let the music take me and I started "dancing" -- without any care of anybody possibly watching me.

This time, I did my best to NOT have my phone out constantly. I wanted to be IN the moment instead of capturing it. I generally stuck to recording the first 30 seconds or so of each song (so I can put together the setlist, which is further below!), and then snapping / recording some extra photos / videos if I liked the stage colours for the song. I think I did a pretty good job!

A short clip of "Echoes of You", another of their new songs.
The beginning is so catchy.
You might need to click twice to play it.

After a couple more songs, "Pop 101" started. Partway through the song, Josh was standing really close to the left edge of the stage. Then... Josh stepped down into the crowd!!! Omg, it's happening again!!!! (this also happened with the Ottawa concert). I was so glad I had an edge seat! Unfortunately the song ended before Josh could get to my side. I actually had no idea where Josh was -- I just knew he was somewhere in the crowd. Unlike the Ottawa concert, fangirly screams didn't burst from wherever he went.

"Well, now I'm just out here with you guys," Josh said, which evoked a lot of cheering from the audience. "Let's do another one!" Then "Haven't Had Enough" started playing and Josh continued moving through the crowd... getting closer to my area... omgggggggg! I tried taking a video of him dancing, but I was also dancing, so... it didn't turn out very well. Regardless... I was soooooooo close to him again!! xDDDDDD *doki doki doki!* <3 <3 <3

"Pop 101". Josh leaning pretty close to the left edge of the stage.
What's he gonna do.... ?!

After another song, a ballad I didn't recognize started playing. I stood there, drinking in the soft sounds and yearning lyrics. Once the chorus hit, I knew I loved it. And I continued standing, looking at Josh earnestly, and thinking, "It'll be okay... we're here for you...". Hah... My dorkiness shines through again! The next day I found out that the track was called "Glimmer". It became one of my favourites of the concert.

A clip of "Glimmer", one of my favourite tracks in the concert.

A clip of "All To Myself", an older song. This clip mainly features
the audience singing -- 'cuz the audience is just good like that! :)

One awesome moment was when they did "Cross My Heart". Halfway through the song, it segued into the bridge for "Celebrity Status" and continued on as "Celebrity Status" to the end. I was psyched! It was so coooooool! xD.

Josh taking off his jacket close to the end.

10:00-ish PM -- Encore?
Now... I'm not entirely sure if an encore happened or not because I was disrupted during the last three songs. Another attendee deep in my row took off his shirt and security was calling for the person to get out of their seat. When the person didn't move, security proceeded to go through the row to pull that guy out.

While that only disrupted one song... the person showed up again... claiming that he left something in his seat... meaning he had to go through the row to his seat during the next song.... =____= And then it happened again during the last song... =____=

I didn't show it, but I was very pissed off! Two of the last three songs were "One Love" (but done in Acoustic) and "Who Do You Love", songs I really loved! The final song I didn't recognize, but I enjoyed a lot, too! That was the only thing that sucked during the concert.

The show ended around 10:22 PM.

Setlist
Here is the full setlist for Marianas Trench. I linked each song to either the official audio track on YouTube, or the official lyric video. Out of these songs, I enjoyed "Glimmer", "Don't Miss Me?", and "The Killing Kind" the most. I enjoyed all the songs, though!

-Eleonora
-Only The Lonely Survive
-Echoes of You
-Stutter
-Here's to the Zeros
-Pop 101
-Haven't Had Enough
-Rhythm of Your Heart
-Glimmer
-I Knew You When
-All To Myself
-Don't Miss Me?
-Cross My Heart / Celebrity Status medley
-Desperate Measures
-Fallout
-One Love
-Who Do You Love
-The Killing Kind

Overall Experience
Aside from those rude disruptions during the last three songs, this concert was a total blast! I stayed standing and dancing through the whole thing, even though I knew my feet would get bruised afterwards (trying to dance on a slightly angled floor is a baaad idea!). Now I'm counting down to their next concert dates, whenever that will be. After the concert, I found out on Facebook that Josh performed with a bruised rib...

Josh... take care of yourself, please! D: But -- thank you for still performing and giving us an amazing night! Please recover soon! The world needs you and your musics in it! <3 <3 <3

The next day I listened to the PHANTOMS album and enjoyed every track. I would have loved hearing "Your Ghost" and "Death of Me" performed at the concert!

Items I bought from the merchandise shop.
Tour T-shirt: $35
Signed Drumstick: $20
Signed CD: $25
Total spent: $80
The signed drumstick was a bit of a let down.
Some of the autographs were nearly faded.

My ticket to the concert. I paid an extra $10 to get a
holographic version of the ticket. I don't regret it!

Thank you so much for reading! :)

My next blog should be Season 7 of Game of Thrones... and then one more Game of Thrones-related blog.

THOUGHTS [TV SHOW] -- Game of Thrones Season 6 *SPOILERS*

Just like in my previous Game of Throne entries, this entry will contain SPOILERS!! So please don't read unless you have watched Season 6!

For my thoughts on the previous seasons:
Season 5
Season 4
Season 3
Season 2
Season 1

OVERALL THOUGHTS ON SEASON 6
Season 6 started off a little slow for me (more High Sparrow stuffs and then Daenerys with the Dothraki who kinda treated her like a nobody), but then ended with significant turning points and reveals. I like that the storylines between characters are starting to converge.

I. am. so. happy. that. Jon. comes. back. to. life! It sucks that he came back via Melisandre ('cuz now I can't 100% condemn her for her past actions, but... well -- I still can't forgive her...), but thank goodness. I'm just happy he's alive.

And I'm glad -- finally some of the Starks re-unite! I'm talking about Jon and Sansa re-uniting, even though Jon is a Snow. I had been hoping for the Starks to re-unite for so many seasons now (and even seeing some possible reunions just slip by).

And -- Ramsay is killed off! Wooooooot!!! He was so mean and cruel. Sansa dealt with him in the most perfect way.

It was interesting to see that The Hound survived and seemed to have developed something of a heart.

It was tough seeing Arya deal with being blind, especially when fighting against the Waif -- and then later on when the Waif stabbed her multiple times and tried to kill her. I was really worried for Arya's safety! Thank goodness she survived (so she could kill off Walder Frey!).

So... Cersei's trial. I mention this in the "Favourite Scenes / Moments" section, but this was done very, very well. It was a very clever and smart plan to remove the High Sparrow and Margaery all at once, but -- Cersei should have known better than to leave Tommen to his own devices afterwards!

Cersei knew how much Tommen loved Margaery, and she knew how much Tommen wanted to protect those he loved. Did she think Tommen would just accept Margaery's death and carry on as normal? She didn't think Tommen could end up feeling like a total failure as a king? Cersei can try blaming whoever she wants, but in my opinion, Tommen's death is completely on her.

I didn't realize this before, but the last episode was probably my favourite episode of Season 6. Many of the favourite moments I mention in the "Favourite Scenes / Moments" section came from that episode.

The reveal of Jon NOT being Ned's son made me feel a couple things:

1. That Jon might not be a bastard after all.

2. Utter relief and happiness in knowing that Ned didn't actually cheat on Catelyn. He was true to her to the end! :')

FAVOURITE SCENES / MOMENTS
-Ramsay's end. Being eaten by his own hounds was a fitting way for him to go. I loved that Sansa's mouth turned into a subtle smile as she walked away.

-When Arya declares that she is Arya Stark to Jaqen and is going home. I love it.

-Arya serving pie to Walder Frey, and then killing him. Finally, revenge against the Red Wedding!

-When Tyrion tried consoling Daenerys after Daenerys ordered Daario to stay in Meereen. I like how they converse with each other like equals.

-When Davos confronted Melisandre about Shireen. He pretty much voiced everything that I thought.

-When Lady Mormont scolds the Northern lords who didn't join Jon in the battle against Ramsay. For a young lady, she's got a lot of fire. :)

-Cersei's trial and the events that happened during her trial. The piano music was great and it kinda reminded me of the climactic end scenes in The Godfather movies.

CHARACTERS - EXTRA THOUGHTS / IMPRESSIONS
Tyrion -- His beard is so bushy now. He is still my favourite.

Margaery -- I don't care very much about her as a character, but I think that it's too bad she was killed off. She was very smart and calculating -- I'm guessing they had to write her off before she could become very, very formidable later on.

And that's it for this blog! Thanks for reading :)

One more blog left -- and then another blog discussing my own ideas of how Season 8 might end. But next week I might blog about something else first.

If you have any thoughts about Season 1-6, even disagreements, feel free to comment. But PLEASE keep any comments within Season 1-6! If you really need to speak about something from the later seasons, please mark it somehow. It's not really for me, but for anybody else who may be reading this entry and are not yet caught up with all the seasons. There's also a comment/message box to the right and those messages should be sent to me directly.

Take care and until the next entry! :)

THOUGHTS [TV SHOW] -- Game of Thrones Season 5 *SPOILERS*

Just like in my previous Game of Throne entries, this entry will contain SPOILERS!! So please don't read unless you have watched Season 5!

For my thoughts on the previous seasons:
Season 4
Season 3
Season 2
Season 1

OVERALL THOUGHTS ON SEASON 5
I almost quit after the end of Season 5. I mean -- Jon dies... what's the point in watching any more? Overall, as with past seasons, Season 5 was done well -- great acting, turning plot points, and such. But it had several moments that I did not enjoy seeing.

Below is a list of moments I did not enjoy seeing (from what I can remember):

1. Shireen being burned alive. Her screams will likely be the most haunting of all screams in the entire series.

2. Daenerys not giving mercy and having Mossodor being executed. Why can't anybody show mercy on this show? Hahaha...

3. Ramsay "consummating" his marriage with Sansa. Sadly, I find it kinda ironic that Sansa was able to escape marriage with Joffrey -- was able to escape losing her virginity to Tyrion -- but could not escape either of those from Ramsay, the cruelest man in the show.

4. Jon getting stabbed multiple times! Omg, whyyy??!! When Samwell told Olly "Sometimes a man has to make hard choices -- choices that might look wrong to others, but you know are right in the long run", I had a feeling that Olly would misinterpret it in a way that would suit his own perspectives (i.e. that killing off the Lord Commander might seem wrong to many, but you know is the right thing in the long run). That was a huuuuge foreshadow to Jon's demise.

On top of all those moments I didn't enjoy seeing, I didn't really enjoy the episodes with the High Sparrow and anything in the Sept. I can see them being necessary to further plot points and character developments, but I just didn't enjoy them. Cersei made a mistake "funding" that group with weapons to enforce their beliefs.

Arya's time in Braavos was not what I was expecting, but was pretty interesting. I kinda thought she'd be well on her way to becoming an assassin, but I guess everybody has to start from the very beginning.

And I just have to say: where was Brandon in Season 5? He reached the tree in Season 4 and then we don't see anything for his story in Season 5? Did the actor take a year off? I wanted to know more about his story.

FAVOURITE SCENES / MOMENTS
-Any conversations between Tyrion and Daenerys. I like how their conversations are so serious, but come off as playful.

-When Cersei was unexpectedly "arrested" and locked up at the Sept. Finally, something bad happens to her.

-When Myrcella told Jaime that she knew Jaime was her father and she was fine with it. It's really too sad that she died right after -- the only Lannister death so far that was truly "undeserving".

-When Jon turned down Melisandre's advances, saying that he still loved Ygritte.

-When Tyrion realized that he couldn't have sex with that woman. I guess he's still thinking of Shae...

CHARACTERS - EXTRA THOUGHTS / IMPRESSIONS
Tyrion -- He is still my favourite! It's too bad he doesn't do too much in this season.

Theon -- Glad he finally did something good and helped Sansa escape.

Samwell -- I like that he's coming to his own.

Jon -- I like his blossoming friendship with Tormund. And he is still very hot! Hahaha.

Melisandre -- I hope she'll suffer the same fate as those she sacrificed! Her recommendation of burning Shireen made me so angry.
