BLOG -- Ideas/Theories on How Game of Thrones Season 8 Will End **MAYBE SPOILERS**

This blog will be different from my other Game of Thrones blogs. I am sharing my ideas / theories on how Game of Thrones Season 8 will end. This is NOT an overall thoughts / overview on Season 8 -- 'cuz Season 8 hasn't aired yet!

I might -- I'm still thinking about it -- blog about Season 8 once it's done. I think it'd be interesting to compare it against this blog where I'm just guessing things.

BUT -- even though these are only my thoughts / theories on how Game of Thrones Season 8 will end, I'd recommend NOT reading this unless you are all caught up to Season 7! There could be SPOILERS for the whole series so far (like whichever characters I mention would just spoil that they've survived to Season 7). So... please don't read unless you have watched Season 7!

For my thoughts on Seasons 1-7:
Season 7
Season 6
Season 5
Season 4
Season 3
Season 2
Season 1

IDEAS / THEORIES ON SEASON 8
First -- I have to mention that whatever thoughts / theories I have, it would be based off what was actually shown in the TV series (that I could remember). One of my friends mentioned a couple theories that Brandon is actually the Night King and that Brandon assumed The Mad King's spirit to make him say "Burn them all", actually meaning to burn all the White Walkers. While I guess those theories could be possible... the TV series didn't show any indication of Brandon doing either of those things so I won't be considering them when thinking of how the series will end.

I'm very aware that Game of Thrones is unpredictable -- especially with Season 8 being the last season -- so I'm going to share a few different ending ideas: my ideal ending, a more likely ending, an alternate, very unlikely ending, and the "screw you" ending.

My Ideal Ending
My ideal ending is, of course, one where all that characters I like are still alive. So... Jon, Tyrion, Daenerys, Arya, Sansa, Brandon, Jaime, Brienne, Podrick, Jorah, Grey Worm, Missandei, Tormund, Davos, Samwell, Gilly, Sam, Yara, Varys (I think that's everyone). I would love for them all to be alive. It would be extra awesome if Syrio Forel came back (he "died" off-screen so the possibility of him being alive exists!).

The White Walkers would be destroyed.

Cersei would step down from the Iron throne, wanting to focus on having her child, and Jaime would join her.

The one who sits on the Iron Throne would be either Jon or Daenerys. Either one is fine, and the other would just stand by their side. This means I hope Jon and Daenerys will marry and carry on with the Targaryen line.

Euron would be overthrown so that Yara can be the ruler of the Iron Islands. I guess Theon could be by Yara's side, but it doesn't really matter to me if he's alive or not.

Melisandre and Bron can live or die -- I don't particularly care. I used to like Bron, when he was chummy with Tyrion, but not anymore.

A More Likely Ending
There would be way more character deaths, hahaha...

I still think the one to win the Iron Throne would be either Jon, Daenerys, or... maybe even nobody (there would be one person standing, but he or she would be so mortally wounded that they only make it to sitting on the Iron Throne and then die soon afterwards). Between Jon or Daenerys, one would get the Iron Throne; the other would die -- either in battle or sacrificing themselves to save the other ('cuz I believe they love each other). As much as I would like them to have a happy future together, I don't see it happening... unless Melisandre shows up to revive the person.

I don't really see Cersei and Jaime surviving to the end. Jaime could fall in battle... or maybe even Cersei kills him if she thinks he will leave and betray her. Whatever happens, I think there will be a brief moment where Cersei will feel very alone -- and that loneliness could overtake her -- or Arya will swoop in and kill her. Actually, as long as Arya is alive, Cersei and Jaime's fates will be sealed.

The White Walkers will be destroyed, but they will probably take down many characters with them.

If Melisandre's prophecy is correct, both Melisandre and Varys will die after playing whatever parts they have to play.

Tyrion... I would love for him to live. He is my favourite, after all. I think if he dies, he will go out in a very sad and brutal fashion. And if he lives, it will be within an inch of death.

I think Arya has a good chance of getting killed off -- just because she is an awesome character, hahaha. Maybe she will end up dueling against Brienne while try to kill Jaime and lose. Maybe she will don the face of somebody and infiltrate her way into enemy territory but then gets caught / found out.

Sansa might have a very, very slim chance of getting the Iron Throne if Cersei, Jon, and Daenerys all fall. I imagine Sansa will stay in Winterfell, defending against the White Walkers, so she might be in the safest position.

Anybody I didn't mention -- well, I think half of them will die, in one way or another. Except for maybe Brandon, Gilly, and Sam (not Samwell) -- I think they might still live.

An Alternate, Very Unlikely Ending
This isn't exactly an ending, but an idea that maybe Melisandre will play a huge part in Season 8. Maybe she mass revives a bunch of fallen characters or unleashes a lot of dark magic that could turn the tide in the battle against the White Walkers.

I just think... that it'd be hilarious / outrageous to have many viewers begrudgingly shift their opinion of Melisandre from most hated character (she endorsed having a child burned alive!) to somebody worthy of respect.

And then Samwell Tarly gets the Iron Throne. Or somebody who's equally unlikely.

The "Screw You" Ending
Everybody dies. The White Walkers win. I don't think this ending would EVER happen... because I think too many viewers would get pissed off!

And that's it! Thanks for reading :) To anybody who read through all my Game of Thrones entries and are still here, thank you sooooooo much!!

What are your ideas / theories on how Season 8 will go down? :) If you have anything to say, feel free to comment!

Take care and until tomorrow for my monthly recap blog (if my computer is still alive)! :)

THOUGHTS [TV SHOW] -- Game of Thrones Season 7 **SPOILERS**

Just like in my previous Game of Throne entries, this entry will contain SPOILERS!! So please don't read unless you have watched Season 7!

For my thoughts on the previous seasons:
Season 6
Season 5
Season 4
Season 3
Season 2
Season 1

OVERALL THOUGHTS ON SEASON 7
Finally -- all the character storylines converge! And the reunions I had been wanting since Season 2 finally happen (the Stark siblings)! There were fewer episodes in Season 7, but so much information got revealed, and so many things just happened

Before starting Season 7, I told myself to watch with the mindset that "all bets are off" -- that anything could happen to anybody. I mean, it's getting towards the end -- the competition has to get thinner. So I watched and worried over my favourite characters whenever they found themselves in a dangerous situation (ahh, Jon... darn your reckless, selfless righteousness! You're still so hot, though! Hahaha <3).

As mentioned earlier, I was so happy to see the Stark siblings re-united. I was a little worried for Arya's reunion since the guard didn't believe her identity, and because she had been so close two times before and missed re-uniting with them (first time was with Robb, and second time with Sansa).

Littlefinger's meddling in trying to make Arya and Sansa turn against each other was so annoying... which made his comeuppance soooooooooooooooo goooooooooooooood. I say a little more on this in my "Favourite Scenes / Moments" section.

I was very sad when one of Daenerys' dragons died to the White Walkers. Daenerys really loved them as her children. I wonder how she will react when she sees it as a White Walker in Season 8... I'm almost certain that is going to happen!

I found Tormund's attraction to Brienne pretty amusing. I just liked how openly honest and blunt he was. So this is how he's like when he's smitten, hahaha. :3

About Cersei -- I knew she was going to get pregnant this season! I mean, she and Jaime had been getting it on in past seasons after Robert Baratheon died, and even in this season. She may be cold and calculating... but I don't think she thinks too far enough ahead to consider the consequences of her actions sometimes. Now she is pregnant, but with no husband to hide the identity of the true father, as she was able to do with her previous children. It seemed like she didn't care if others saw her and Jaime's intimate relationship during one episode, but does she really feel that?

My thoughts about Jon being revealed as a Targaryen, ultimately making his and Daenerys' relationship as... nephew and aunt: Well -- I personally think that was a cop-out. That the reveal was made just so Jon had a justifiable, legitimate right to the Iron throne -- and it didn't consider the consequences of his relationship with Daenerys. I mean -- what if their familial ties became the reason for not pursuing each other romantically? That would suck, in my opinion.

FAVOURITE SCENES / MOMENTS
-When Varys says his loyalties lie with the people. I love his words. I love Daenerys' response to him as well.

-Every interaction between Jon and Daenerys. I think they're really cute together. When Daenerys is at Jon's bedside after the fight with the White Walkers and Jon calls Daenerys his Queen, I was so touched.

-Arya getting her revenge on House Frey. She is so awesome and deadly.

-Littlefinger's trial. I've re-watched that scene many times now. Arya's "I'm-not-gonna-listen-to-your-B.S." deathblow was just THE best.

CHARACTERS - EXTRA THOUGHTS / IMPRESSIONS
Tyrion -- He is still my favourite. I sure hope he survives Season 8!

Euron -- What a jerk. He thinks he's all that? No -- just no *shudder*

Jaime -- I like that he's trying to veer more towards the side of... being an honourable knight. Props to Brienne for showing him how it's done!

And that's it for this blog! Thanks for reading :)

One more blog and then I'll be done my Game of Thrones-related blogs -- at least until Season 8 starts... maybe.

If you have any thoughts about Season 1-7, even disagreements, feel free to comment. But PLEASE keep any comments within Season 1-7! If you really need to speak about something from the later season (.i.e. you are reading this from the future and have already watched Season 8!), please mark it somehow. There's also a comment/message box to the right and those messages should be sent to me directly.

Take care and until the next entry! :)

THOUGHTS [TV SHOW] -- Game of Thrones Season 6 *SPOILERS*

Just like in my previous Game of Throne entries, this entry will contain SPOILERS!! So please don't read unless you have watched Season 6!

For my thoughts on the previous seasons:
Season 5
Season 4
Season 3
Season 2
Season 1

OVERALL THOUGHTS ON SEASON 6
Season 6 started off a little slow for me (more High Sparrow stuffs and then Daenerys with the Dothraki who kinda treated her like a nobody), but then ended with significant turning points and reveals. I like that the storylines between characters are starting to converge.

I. am. so. happy. that. Jon. comes. back. to. life! It sucks that he came back via Melisandre ('cuz now I can't 100% condemn her for her past actions, but... well -- I still can't forgive her...), but thank goodness. I'm just happy he's alive.

And I'm glad -- finally some of the Starks re-unite! I'm talking about Jon and Sansa re-uniting, even though Jon is a Snow. I had been hoping for the Starks to re-unite for so many seasons now (and even seeing some possible reunions just slip by).

And -- Ramsay is killed off! Wooooooot!!! He was so mean and cruel. Sansa dealt with him in the most perfect way.

It was interesting to see that The Hound survived and seemed to have developed something of a heart.

It was tough seeing Arya deal with being blind, especially when fighting against the Waif -- and then later on when the Waif stabbed her multiple times and tried to kill her. I was really worried for Arya's safety! Thank goodness she survived (so she could kill off Walder Frey!).

So... Cersei's trial. I mention this in the "Favourite Scenes / Moments" section, but this was done very, very well. It was a very clever and smart plan to remove the High Sparrow and Margaery all at once, but -- Cersei should have known better than to leave Tommen to his own devices afterwards!

Cersei knew how much Tommen loved Margaery, and she knew how much Tommen wanted to protect those he loved. Did she think Tommen would just accept Margaery's death and carry on as normal? She didn't think Tommen could end up feeling like a total failure as a king? Cersei can try blaming whoever she wants, but in my opinion, Tommen's death is completely on her.

I didn't realize this before, but the last episode was probably my favourite episode of Season 6. Many of the favourite moments I mention in the "Favourite Scenes / Moments" section came from that episode.

The reveal of Jon NOT being Ned's son made me feel a couple things:

1. That Jon might not be a bastard after all.

2. Utter relief and happiness in knowing that Ned didn't actually cheat on Catelyn. He was true to her to the end! :')

FAVOURITE SCENES / MOMENTS
-Ramsay's end. Being eaten by his own hounds was a fitting way for him to go. I loved that Sansa's mouth turned into a subtle smile as she walked away.

-When Arya declares that she is Arya Stark to Jaqen and is going home. I love it.

-Arya serving pie to Walder Frey, and then killing him. Finally, revenge against the Red Wedding!

-When Tyrion tried consoling Daenerys after Daenerys ordered Daario to stay in Meereen. I like how they converse with each other like equals.

-When Davos confronted Melisandre about Shireen. He pretty much voiced everything that I thought.

-When Lady Mormont scolds the Northern lords who didn't join Jon in the battle against Ramsay. For a young lady, she's got a lot of fire. :)

-Cersei's trial and the events that happened during her trial. The piano music was great and it kinda reminded me of the climactic end scenes in The Godfather movies.

CHARACTERS - EXTRA THOUGHTS / IMPRESSIONS
Tyrion -- His beard is so bushy now. He is still my favourite.

Margaery -- I don't care very much about her as a character, but I think that it's too bad she was killed off. She was very smart and calculating -- I'm guessing they had to write her off before she could become very, very formidable later on.

And that's it for this blog! Thanks for reading :)

One more blog left -- and then another blog discussing my own ideas of how Season 8 might end. But next week I might blog about something else first.

If you have any thoughts about Season 1-6, even disagreements, feel free to comment. But PLEASE keep any comments within Season 1-6! If you really need to speak about something from the later seasons, please mark it somehow. It's not really for me, but for anybody else who may be reading this entry and are not yet caught up with all the seasons. Take care and until the next entry! :)

THOUGHTS [TV SHOW] -- Game of Thrones Season 5 *SPOILERS*

Just like in my previous Game of Throne entries, this entry will contain SPOILERS!! So please don't read unless you have watched Season 5!

For my thoughts on the previous seasons:
Season 4
Season 3
Season 2
Season 1

OVERALL THOUGHTS ON SEASON 5
I almost quit after the end of Season 5. I mean -- Jon dies... what's the point in watching any more? Overall, as with past seasons, Season 5 was done well -- great acting, turning plot points, and such. But it had several moments that I did not enjoy seeing.

Below is a list of moments I did not enjoy seeing (from what I can remember):

1. Shireen being burned alive. Her screams will likely be the most haunting of all screams in the entire series.

2. Daenerys not giving mercy and having Mossodor being executed. Why can't anybody show mercy on this show? Hahaha...

3. Ramsay "consummating" his marriage with Sansa. Sadly, I find it kinda ironic that Sansa was able to escape marriage with Joffrey -- was able to escape losing her virginity to Tyrion -- but could not escape either of those from Ramsay, the cruelest man in the show.

4. Jon getting stabbed multiple times! Omg, whyyy??!! When Samwell told Olly "Sometimes a man has to make hard choices -- choices that might look wrong to others, but you know are right in the long run", I had a feeling that Olly would misinterpret it in a way that would suit his own perspectives (i.e. that killing off the Lord Commander might seem wrong to many, but you know is the right thing in the long run). That was a huuuuge foreshadow to Jon's demise.

On top of all those moments I didn't enjoy seeing, I didn't really enjoy the episodes with the High Sparrow and anything in the Sept. I can see them being necessary to further plot points and character developments, but I just didn't enjoy them. Cersei made a mistake "funding" that group with weapons to enforce their beliefs.

Arya's time in Braavos was not what I was expecting, but was pretty interesting. I kinda thought she'd be well on her way to becoming an assassin, but I guess everybody has to start from the very beginning.

And I just have to say: where was Brandon in Season 5? He reached the tree in Season 4 and then we don't see anything for his story in Season 5? Did the actor take a year off? I wanted to know more about his story.

FAVOURITE SCENES / MOMENTS
-Any conversations between Tyrion and Daenerys. I like how their conversations are so serious, but come off as playful.

-When Cersei was unexpectedly "arrested" and locked up at the Sept. Finally, something bad happens to her.

-When Myrcella told Jaime that she knew Jaime was her father and she was fine with it. It's really too sad that she died right after -- the only Lannister death so far that was truly "undeserving".

-When Jon turned down Melisandre's advances, saying that he still loved Ygritte.

-When Tyrion realized that he couldn't have sex with that woman. I guess he's still thinking of Shae...

CHARACTERS - EXTRA THOUGHTS / IMPRESSIONS
Tyrion -- He is still my favourite! It's too bad he doesn't do too much in this season.

Theon -- Glad he finally did something good and helped Sansa escape.

Samwell -- I like that he's coming to his own.

Jon -- I like his blossoming friendship with Tormund. And he is still very hot! Hahaha.

Melisandre -- I hope she'll suffer the same fate as those she sacrificed! Her recommendation of burning Shireen made me so angry.

And that's it for this blog! Thanks for reading :)

If you have any thoughts about Season 1-5, even disagreements, feel free to comment. But PLEASE keep any comments within Season 1-5! THOUGHTS [TV SHOW] -- Game of Thrones Season 4 *SPOILERS*

Just like in my previous Game of Throne entries, this entry will contain SPOILERS!! So please don't read unless you have watched Season 4!

For my thoughts on the previous seasons:
Season 3
Season 2
Season 1

OVERALL THOUGHTS ON SEASON 4
First thing I have to say -- Yesssssss, Joffrey was killed off! The way he died was a little too brutal for my liking, but now I don't have to think about him suddenly wanting to off my favourite characters.

Overall... so many things happened in Season 4. At least, so many things that I gave a crap about, hahaha. Ahh, Shae and Tyrion... and Oberyn... I'll talk about them a little later.

To me, Cersei's reaction to Joffrey's death was a little too much. I mean, I can understand (she just lost her son) -- but her vengeful emotions were definitely misdirected. She should know that Tyrion would never carry out an assassination on Joffrey in a way that would make him the obvious culprit. He's too cunning for that. She just wanted somebody to pay -- and who better than somebody she already hates...

I must confess to something embarrassing. When Season 4 started and I saw Jaime for the first time in Season 4, I didn't recognize him with his clean haircut and no facial hair. For a short while, I actually thought they replaced actors for Jaime until I looked it up on Wikipedia and saw he was the same actor.

I think... as much as I love Daenerys, I don't think she knows how to rule very well. I'm glad she often considers advice from others before making decisions, but even then sometimes her emotions and her "eye for an eye" justice will supersede the "fair" decision. I was hoping she would forgive Jorah instead of exiling him.

Ygritte's death was so sad for me. I really wanted to see more of her in the series -- I loved her accent and her attitude, and how she interacted with Jon. But I kinda knew that there would almost be no chance that Ygritte and Jon would both survive the "Battle of the Wall" (or whatever that battle was called). I knew one of them would die. *weeps*

Okay... Shae and Tyrion's relationship. It makes me sad, thinking about these two, because I really believe that they both loved each other. When Tyrion "broke up" with Shae, thinking that was the only way she would leave King's Landing and ultimately be out of harm's way, I think Shae genuinely believed his words and was heartbroken... and so, in retaliation, stood on trial and told lies to get back at Tyrion. I mean -- if you wholeheartedly believed you were loved, only to be told that it was all a lie, what would you do? How would you feel? I'm not saying what she did was right or justified... but I can understand it, and it makes me sad.

When Tyrion later found Shae in Tywin's bed, I wish some words could have been exchanged instead of just actions to try killing each other. Couldn't some understanding have been reached? Is there no room for forgiveness in that world... at all?

I think there are various interpretations for Shae's character and motivations, leading to various reactions to her death. I'm choosing to believe she genuinely loved Tyrion, making her choice to retaliate via the trial, and ultimately making her death very sad -- at least very sad for me.

I hated seeing Prince Oberyn go -- I wanted him to win the trial so that Tyrion could go free. I also wanted him to get his justice for what happened to his sister Elia. Victory was sooo within his reach...

Arya's journey was still a little slow this season. But I was super excited when she boarded the boat to Braavos at the end of the season. Finally!

FAVOURITE SCENES / MOMENTS
-When Oberyn visits Tyrion in his prison cell and tells Tyrion how they had met before and that he will be his champion in the trial by combat. Very, very wonderful acting and strong words.

-When Ygritte had her bow aimed at Jon and all Jon responded with was a light smile. He was just happy to see her again -- and she was happy to see him. It made her death all the more depressing.

-When Daenerys ordered for barrels to be catapulted at the walls of Meereen and when the barrels broke, slave collars fell out. I think that imagery was so powerful.

-Tywin's death. It was an emotional turning point for Tyrion, and the scene was so well-done.

CHARACTERS - EXTRA THOUGHTS / IMPRESSIONS
Tyrion -- He is still my favourite! Just had to say that.

Little Finger -- He is really getting on my nerves, with all his sneaky going-abouts and lies.

Jojen Reed -- It's really too bad he was killed off this season. I wanted to see more of his character.

Ramsay -- With Joffrey gone, Ramsay is the replacement for the most cruel, evil character, hahaha. Now I'm counting down to his end.

Jaime -- I appreciate that he loves Tyrion -- when nobody else in the family would (except for maybe Tommen and Myrcella). Also, props to him for helping Tyrion escape.

And that's it for this blog! Thanks for reading :)

THOUGHTS [TV SHOW] -- Game of Thrones Season 3 *SPOILERS*

Just like in my previous Game of Throne entries, this entry will contain SPOILERS!! So please don't read unless you have watched Season 3!

For my thoughts on the previous seasons:
Season 2
Season 1

OVERALL THOUGHTS ON SEASON 3
I think -- there are way too many weddings in Game of Thrones! It kinda upsets me that a person's "rest of their life" can be sooo... dependent upon another's decision or for the good of the current cause or for the good of the family or for whatever reason they come up with to have the person marry somebody they don't care for. I can understand it, but I don't like it. In this way, I have a lot of respect for Robb for marrying the one he loves. It also made his death and Talisa's death so, soooo much more sad... I'll touch more on the Red Wedding a bit later.

In Season 3 I was fearful for so many of the characters' lives. I was scared that Shae would be found out by Cersei or Tywin... I was scared that Jon wouldn't make it over the wall... I was scared for Brandon since now he is on a journey as well... and I'm always scared for Tyrion's safety.

It was really too bad (and sad) that Jon and Ygritte ended up being apart on opposing sides. They really do love each other so much...

For Theon -- I just feel sorry for him now. I can't imagine how it would feel to think you escaped from brutal torture -- only to be led back to the same place of torture -- and then to be soo much more brutally tortured. I had to squint my eyes during some of those torture scenes.

I'm kinda finding Arya's journey a little slow. I wanna see her use her sword skills that she learned from Syrio (the sword dancer). I was really hoping for her to re-unite with Robb, but I guess it was a good thing she didn't in the end...

Okay, my thoughts on the Red Wedding. I had heard the term years ago on Facebook, but I had no idea what it meant for Game of Thrones. Initially I thought it was just a wedding theme -- that the wedding decorations and dresses would be red-coloured. I had NO IDEA that it meant the wedding guests would be slaughtered!

As soon as the doors closed (right before the string music started), I had this ominous feeling. Catelyn's expression when the string music started confirmed my ominous feeling. And then... so much sadness. I think Talisa's death was one of the worst -- just knowing that her unborn child was also killed.

I do have one teensy nitpick with the Red Wedding scene -- maybe it was intentional, but it didn't work for me. It was the shot after Robb is dealt the final blow and Catelyn screams and kills Frey's wife. Then the shot zooms a bit on Catelyn and then sits... and sits... and sits... and then Catelyn's throat is slit. For me, that long pause on Catelyn didn't work at all and took away some of the emotional impact when Catelyn is killed.

FAVOURITE SCENES / MOMENTS
-When Daenerys buys the Unsullied and speaks Valyrian for the first time, giving them the orders to kill all masters and free slaves. Her theme song goes so perfectly with that scene.

-When Tyrion tells Sansa he won't consummate the marriage unless she wants him to. What a gentleman! Shae's smile when she takes Sansa's bed sheets the next morning and realizes they didn't consummate was a nice moment, too.

-When Ygritte has her bow aimed at Jon and Jon says, "I do know some things -- I know I love you. I know you love me". Ygritte's expressions to his words looked so genuine -- I could feel her heart ache as she had her bow on him.

CHARACTERS - EXTRA THOUGHTS / IMPRESSIONS
Tyrion -- He is still my favourite. I love that he fights back against Joffrey.

Stannis -- He's a jerk! I just had to say that.

Lady Olenna -- I like her bluntness.

Jojen Reed -- I liked Thomas Brodie-Sangster's acting in the Maze Runner movies so I was waiting for his character to show up here.

Ramsay -- I can't decide who is more cruel... Ramsay or Joffrey.

Jon -- I joked with a co-worker friend that Jon looked hot -- but he has actually become quite hot over the past seasons, hahaha. He's a good guy.

Jaime -- He helped Brienne a couple times so I've stopped condemning his character for pushing Brandon out the window. I still don't forgive it, though!

And that's it for this blog! Thanks for reading :)

Next week I should be blogging about something Valentine-themed, and the week after should be continuing with Game of Thrones.

If you have any thoughts about Season 1-3, even disagreements, feel free to comment. But PLEASE keep any comments within Season 1-3! THOUGHTS [TV SHOW] -- Game of Thrones Season 2 *SPOILERS*

As mentioned in my last entry, this will contain SPOILERS!! So please don't read unless you have watched Season 2!

For my thoughts on the previous Season: Here

OVERALL THOUGHTS ON SEASON 2
I think overall, aside from maybe a few nice moments, so many unfortunate things happened in Season 2 -- Renly Baratheon being killed (never really got to know this guy); the battle of Blackwater Bay with Tyrion getting injured (I was so fearful for his life!); Theon capturing Winterfell; Theon burning Brandon and Rickon (who turned out to be two farm boys, but still!); Jon being captured by the Wildlings; Jon having to kill Halfhand; Joffrey being Joffrey... only thing that kept me going was needing to see if my favourite characters survived to the end, hahaha.

For me, Tyrion was THE star of Season 2. As I saw more of Tyrion's humanity (and sarcastic wit), I started to think that maybe what Little Finger said about Tyrion ordering the assassination attempt on Brandon was a lie. Once I was comfortable with that line of thinking, Tyrion rose to "favourite character" status almost immediately.

Just to say -- I didn't really buy the romance between Robb and Talisa. It somehow felt a bit forced, and very rushed. Not saying that Robb and Talisa are bad characters or that they don't love each other. I just wasn't convinced.

Sometimes I wonder if Arya had named Joffrey, Cersei, and Tywin to Jaqen H'ghar (Faceless Assassin guy) -- how would the rest of Game of Thrones play out? Was that even possible to request?

FAVOURITE SCENES / MOMENTS
-When Shae visits Tyrion after the battle of Blackwater Bay, and Shae says "I am yours and you are mine". It was such a beautiful, touching moment. :')

-When Tyrion has conversations with Pycelle, Varys, and Little Finger, giving different secret information to each of them to see who would leak out their information to Cersei. That was really clever and fun to watch!

-When Daenerys has Pree set on fire and then has Daxos and... that girl (Daenerys' backstabbing friend) locked inside Daxos' own vault. Sometime about that was very strong to me.

CHARACTERS - EXTRA THOUGHTS / IMPRESSIONS
Tyrion -- Just gotta say I love this guy, hahaha. He is so cool.

Shae -- I really love Shae as well. I love how she genuinely loves Tyrion. I also like how protective she is of Sansa and how she is a fighter.

Theon -- This guy... I shake my head at him... What a screw-up >_____<.

Brienne -- I like her strength and unbending loyalty.

Joffrey -- I'm just waiting for his end now... He is soooooo horrible.

Ygritte -- Her accent is just the best, hahaha.

THOUGHTS [TV Show] -- Game of Thrones Season 1 *SPOILERS*

Well, since I'm now alllll caught up with Game of Thrones -- watching 7 seasons in a span of two months... it was a bit crazy, hahaha -- I thought I'd blog my impressions / thoughts about each season, as I wait along with every other Game of Thrones fan for the final season.

These entries will be SPOILERIFIC, so please don't read them if you haven't yet watched that season!

For each entry I'll be covering my overall thoughts about the season (what I liked and what I didn't like), mention any favourite moments or scenes, and then highlight specific characters if I have any more thoughts about them. Even though I've watched all seasons and have more or less formed "final" thoughts about each character, I'll keep my thoughts limited to what I saw in each season for them.

Okay -- now to my SPOILER-Y thoughts!

OVERALL THOUGHTS ON SEASON 1
When I started Episode 1, it was 11 PM on a weekday. I thought, 'I'll just watch the first episode and then head off to sleep. I'll be rested enough for work tomorrow!'. Within the first 10 minutes I see a series of chopped up dead bodies formed in some circular pattern. Then I see a dead girl stuck to a tree by a knife. Then those dead bodies go missing. Then the dead girl is standing around, "alive" with menacing blue eyes. All of a sudden, I thought, 'Will I even be able to sleep after this?!!!'

Other thoughts also came pouring in: 'What is this?! There are ghosts in this series?! There are supernatural things?'. Before starting Game of Thrones, I only knew that there were dragons. This added supernatural element... was completely unexpected. And scary. Whenever I think of Game of Thrones, I will always remember being traumatized by the first 10 minutes of the first episode!

Overall, I think Season 1 did a good job of introducing the characters and the various areas. I was warned beforehand that Season 1 could be a little disjointed and confusing because there are so many characters and places to learn about... so I watched it with the perspective that each main character had their own separate story. Any characters / places that came in contact with those main characters, unless there was any minglings or mentions of each other, stayed in those separate stories. I think watching with that perspective helped me to follow along -- 'cuz I wasn't wondering about how everybody's story was going to come together and I wasn't expecting it.

Now... I'll flat out say that pretty much all the stories / histories of anything that happened before the main characters kinda went over my head. I was already learning about so many characters (who were alive), I couldn't also follow the going-ons with all the characters in the past. The only things I got from those stories were: Lyanna was kidnapped, raped, and died -- and that a lot of stuff happened in the past for the Targaryens. Before the final season airs, I'll make an effort to learn about the lore and histories.

Even though not too much happened with the Dothraki in the beginning, I often looked forward to any glimpses into that wild, horse-riding world. I thought the relationship between Khal Drogo and Daenerys -- how Drogo became a little less aggressive and more tender with her, and how she slowly let herself into the Dothraki way of life -- I thought it was really sweet.

When Ned Stark was executed, I was very shocked and upset. He was such a good man. I liked that he stood up for what he believed in, refusing to take part in plans to kill Daenerys to the point of giving up his title as Hand of the King.

FAVOURITE SCENES / MOMENTS
-When Catelyn got Tyrion captured. I think she did a really great job of rallying her father's allies. And all to bring justice to the assassination attempt against her son. What a gal!

-All the interactions with Arya and Syrio Forel, Arya's sword dancing instructor. He was an amazing teacher! *tips hat*

-When Daenerys comes out of the flames with her baby dragons. It was a really cool sight!

CHARACTERS - EXTRA THOUGHTS / IMPRESSIONS
Cersei & Jaime -- I hate these two. Not because of their incestuous relationship (that's their own business -- I could care less about that), but because they wanted Brandon dead for seeing them together.

Joffrey -- I hate this guy so much. Abusing his newfound power and then sentencing Ned Stark to death. What. A. Jerk.

Tyrion -- I hate this guy, too. Even though he was a little bit kind to Brandon by providing documents to let Brandon ride a horse, I kept these thoughts in mind: 'He ordered the assassination attempt against Brandon. I can't trust nor forgive this guy'. I was very much hoping he would fall through the sky prison.

Arya -- Arya is such a tomboy -- and I love her for it! I also really like that she doesn't mind being friends with those of a "lower" social status.

Sansa -- I think Sansa is a fool. She actually genuinely liked Joffrey in the beginning? *shiver*

Little Finger -- I thought he was reliable and trustworthy, until he put a knife to Ned Stark's throat. I have no idea what to think of him. Did he do what he did because he wanted Catelyn Stark for himself? I just know that I can't fully trust him.

Daenerys -- It's embarrassing to say, but I had no idea how to say Daenerys' name properly after watching season 1. I kept calling her Khaleesi. I like her character growth -- how she starts off a little bit like a doormat and ends up with both gentleness and fire in her spirit.
